Dean Uchida is Vice President responsible for the Hoopili Development in East Kapolei.  A graduate of the University of Oregon, with Master's degrees from the University of Hawaii and the University of Southern California, Mr. Uchida has been involved, from both the private and public sectors, in real estate development, property management, land use law and land use planning in Hawaii since 1981. 

Prior to D.R. Horton, he was the Executive Director of the Land Use Research Foundation of Hawaii (LURF), which is a private, non-profit research and trade organization whose members are major Hawaii landowners and developers.
