HB 1687 HD1 SICK LEAVEDescription: Requires employers to provide paid sick leave to employees. Defines small business as having less than 50 employees (full-time, part-time, temporary), working for compensation during a given week. Effective January 1, 2012. Employees of small businesses cannot accrue more than 40 hours. Other employees cannot accrue more than 72 hours. Leave can be used to care for family or designated person.
