BIO OF JOHN L. KNOREK

 

JOHN L. KNOREK is a director of Torkildson, Katz, Moore, Hetherington & Harris.  Since 1981 he has represented businesses and management executives in all aspects of employment and wrongful discharge law.  He received his B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Cincinnati, and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.  He is listed in “Best Lawyers in America”, “Hawaii’s Best Lawyers” and “Chambers USA Client’s Guide” for employment law.  John is the former Chair of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii, chair of its Human Resources Committee, and serves on several committees of the Pacific Club.  John is a former director of Hospice Hawaii, Le Jardin Academy, Mid Pacific Country Club and the Society of Human Resource Management – Hawaii Chapter. John is active in fundraising for several organizations including Castle Medical Center and Legal Aid Society of Hawaii.  He also guest lectures at the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and Shidler College of Business.
